NEMM provides At-Sea Monitoring (ASM) and Electronic Monitoring (EM) services to the New England groundfish fleet.
NEMM is seeking candidates looking to begin a high growth career.
NEMM is currently hiring At Sea Monitors.
ASMs are deployed on commercial groundfish vessels to collect data at-sea to satisfy federal monitoring mandates.
Employment begins with a three week, fully compensated training led by NOAA Fishery Monitoring and Research Division (FMRD) in Cape Cod Massachusetts.
Training is compensated.
Joining NEMM as an At Sea Monitoring quickly provides growth opportunity for land-based work within our electronic monitoring and seafood traceability work.

Requirements:
All candidates must meet the minimum federal standards.
Including:
Hold a high school diploma or legal equivalent Be physically and mentally capable of the responsibilities of a monitor on board fishing vessels and have a physician certify them to carry these duties prior to training.
Some examples of these responsibilities include the ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder and Tolerance for motion sickness Preferred Attributes:
Desire and motivation to work in a high growth business Interest in a fisheries technology career Experience with Northeast Atlantic fish identification Background in fisheries, marine science, scientific field work, or biology Experience on boats Ability to work in a self guided environment Information:
