Maintenance Mechanic - Injection Molding Equipment

We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic who is:
o Hands-on in a dynamic small shop environment where everyone is challenged by rolling up their sleeves to develop and implement solutions for our customer.
o Driven and takes a strong business partner approach and attitude providing creative and innovative solutions that meet our high quality standards.
o Able to oversee all aspects of the production machine activities to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
o Self-motivated and thrives in a fast -paced, cutting-edge, lean systems environment, where priorities can often change on a daily basis.
Basic Responsibilities
o Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and systems
o Trouble-shoots and Repairs all equipment related issues including Injection Molding Machines, Auxiliary Equipment, and Facility Support Services.
o Coordinates New Machinery moves and transfers
o Supervises Maintenance technician
o Implements and leads Predictive Maintenance Program for the facility
o Pulls, cleans, measures screws and barrels as required - maintaining updated/accurate database.
o Ensure accuracy, completeness, and updates all related documentation
o Ensures proper safety and company policies/guidelines
o Supports ISO-9001/2000 QMS
o Creates reports and procedures
o Participates in kaizen events
o Recommends new equipment and modifications to existing equipment - assists in financial justification preparation.
Required Qualifications
o 5-7 years of experience with equipment maintenance for injection molding machines & auxiliary equipment, automation
o 3-4 years of experience troubleshooting and improving Plant Systems - HVAC, Air Compressor, Plumbing, Chiller, Electric, Server, etc
o Leads Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Program
o Technical experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment issues with respect to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
o Ability to read and analyze hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic blueprints
o Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers
o Creates and administers all required documentation and record keeping
o Ability to use basic metrology tools such as gauge pins, micrometers, tool scope, dial indicators, calipers, bore gauges, etc.
o Demonstrated experience providing leadership, managing multiple projects of medium complexity
o Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to move objects and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
o Hearing - ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and ability to discern various sounds and determine their nature.
o Ability to extend hands or arms in any direction. Repetitive motions, physical ability to sustain movements of the fingers, wrists, hands or arms.
o Must be able to see (depth perception, colors, near acuity and far acuity).
o Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, etc.
o Exposed to various packaging materials, cleaning chemicals, lubricants, etc.
