Take and Bake Program Team member

Job DescriptionThe Value Added Team Member works to assure that all objectives, deadlines, and goals of the department and facility are met or exceeded. The role will include preparing ingredients, ensuring, proper weights, packaging, and sanitation of work area.Responsibilities
Support the Smoke House Supervisor and all other team members in all the functions of the Take and Bake and Smoked Salmon Programs.
Complete daily prep lists and job assignments.
Maintain cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves of production area.
Ensure product is well-stocked and properly rotated, including backstock areas and coolers.
Be aware of new products and recipes that become available.
Know product availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspects.
Document, analyze, and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage
Peel, chop and slice items.
Prepare products according to recipes and directions.
Ensure the quality, palatability and presentation of all products.
Maintain high productivity levels.
Properly package and wrap products for distribution to retail locations.
Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, proper temperature controls, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Initiative, solution-oriented and able to work independently
Ability to maintain good relationships with team members, facility leadership, vendors and suppliers
Excellent verbal communicator
Able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm
Flexible schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary
Ability to read and interpret instructions and recipe guidelines
Proficient knife skills
Able to meet physical job requirements
Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required

Commercial kitchen (6-12 months)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
