Inventory Control - Planner I
Ensures inventory controls and processes are properly maintained. Ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Use state of the art inventory simulation tool to perform inventory analysis and insure inventory integrity.
Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials.
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases.
Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels.
Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and execute our quarterly inventory excess and obsolescence process. Review results and offer recommendations for mitigation. Investigate alternative uses for excess material.
2. Use rapid response simulation tool to perform various inventory analysis.
3. Work and enhance our various inventory pull programs such as kanban, consignment, gold square.
4. Inventory Control ? Analyzes usage data and stock levels to order parts to satisfy service levels; maintains inventory levels per plan and expedites shortages; assists in setting up new inventory systems or modifying existing systems, when necessary; assigns appropriate expediting duties to expediters.
5. Develop and implement process improvements to improve inventory performance. Help recognized and identify root cause and corrective actions where applicable.
6. Process material transactions utilizing SAP and eWM.
7. Increases component availability at time of release by performing pre-shortage analysis. Assists with work order variance analysis.
8. Reviews weekly MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information.
9. Cross train in other areas of materials management in 3-6 month increments in areas such as demand planning, new product introduction, warehousing in order to develop a strong materials background. Gain an understanding in various materials processes such as cycle counting, kanban planning, supplier liability agreements, defective material.
10. May change "make" level lead times in accordance with reality on the manufacturing floor.
11. May work with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
